Well, the groundhog has said there will be 6 more weeks of winter. What winter? We'll take 6 more weeks of this! Then again, around here groundhogs are considered varmits. Last year every tomato within about two feet of the ground (groundhog range) had a big bite taken out of it. Should we listen to a varmit? Should we listen to the Farmer's Almanac who predicted cold and snowy? Should we hedge our bets and plant early but start extra seeds just in case as a backup? Vigorous discussions going on at the minifarm whether to trust a rodent or semi-science. Think we'll go with door number three.
